Bolt action breech block

Bold-action system – Zylinder Verschlüsse. Various simplified bold-action systems. The bold locks into the frame of the pistol. These pistols were generally not very accurate at a longer range, but could easy be paired with the better known rifle equivalents. (examples: Dreyse and Mauserlein)  Werndl Verschlüsse – (rotating block system) Used a rotating breech block which had an opening to load the pistol from the rear. The breech would then be rotated (or turned) and the hammer cocked. The system would then be ready to fire.
